The second quarter of 2023 saw interesting trends among the top 5 sports apps on the iOS platform in Nigeria. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides a comprehensive view of these apps’ weekly downloads and active user counts.

SportyBet - Sports Betting had a noticeable decline in weekly downloads, starting from 12.1K in late March and dropping to around 6.8K by the end of June. Weekly active users also saw a gradual decrease from 37.9K to 34.1K over the same period.

1xBet: Sports Betting Nigeria experienced a similar trend. Weekly downloads started at 9K and fell to 4.5K by the end of June. However, weekly active users remained relatively steady, fluctuating around the 107K mark throughout the quarter.

LiveScore: Live Sports Scores showed a steady decrease in weekly downloads, from 3.5K in early April to just over 1K by the end of June. Active users also declined from 31.9K to 15.4K during the same period.

MSport - Sports Betting had modest download numbers, starting at 3.2K in late March and ending the quarter at around 1.9K. Weekly active users fluctuated but showed a slight overall increase, starting at 20.2K and ending at 20.6K.
